You suggest that the pews empty out quicker, where synodality is pushed towards an extreme. I agree that extremes are often not a good idea, but maybe the opposite is also possible: because the pews are empty, some people are desperate to use whatever means they can find? And, yes, I share with you the intuition that whatever the Church does, it should contribute to the mission of proclaiming and being the good news of Jesus Christ to the world!
